Hanmer Alpine Electrical and Air Conditioning Ltd, established in 2005 provides rural, residential, commercial and industrial electrical clients with repairs, additions or new installations, thermographic imaging, property certificate of verification, insurance, pumping systems and BWOF work.
Also, delivering design and installation of customised air conditioning, heatpumps and ventilation systems with supporting servicing and breakdown repair, ensures you have everything you need in one location.
Our location in Hanmer Springs means we are able to offer services in the North Canterbury Region at a fraction of the cost charged by companies forced to travel significant distances to reach the area

Our staff live in the Hanmer Basin and all have children at our local schools and belong to community clubs and sports teams and enjoy being a part our close-knit local extended family.

With an excess of 70 staff and 65 years in the industry, Christchurch Electrical has a wealth of knowledge and practical ability. Working alongside our extended family also enables us to utilise their procurement levels to provide you with the confidence that we can always offer fair materials pricing.

Towards this, the qualified New Zealand Electricians and management employed at Hanmer Alpine Electrical and Air Conditioning undertake significant efforts to meet and surpass WorkSafe expectations. This is an ongoing and constantly updated process to include any new understandings of how to perform our role in the safest possible way and to help others around us to stay safe too. We belong to the Master Electricians organisation and have many well-recognised current qualifications such as SiteSafe, Working at Heights and Mobile Elevated Working Platforms.
We take the care of our environment seriously. We make sure to remove our rubbish from every job we do and dispose of it in a conscientious way. Whether it’s ensuring our fleet of vehicles is well tuned to minimise air pollution or simply picking up scrap ends of cable from a trench before backfilling…we go the extra mile to care and protect.
